When Sofra approached me to design unique dining sets inspired by the tones of Kuwait’s sky, land and sea, I began looking at aerial views of the landscape and the peninsula to garner a visual understanding of patterns in nature.
To illustrate the images, I explored the ancient art of paper marbling, Ebru. With a light hand, and an open mind, unexpected and unique patterns emerged on water and are captured on paper.
